My impression of HM so far.

The PvP leader board is just about points, ranking doesn't really matter as long as you reach the point threshold.

Odd thing about pvp. You have to spend energy to draw an opponent and you can choose to skip that opponent. I see no upside to this. If it is a weaker opponent you get less points but to skip them provides no advantage. If the opponent is strong you have an opportunity to capture stronger cards typically and if you win you get more points.

How it should work for a weaker opponent is if you skip them it should either be free to pass or even gain energy as to not pile on the weaker or newer players.

Unexplainable turn counter. I still can't figure out how turn counter is determined. This is obviously a very important value in pvp and would have significant impact on cards worth keeping and having in your deck.

I am not sure how other events are, but if pvp is where you hang your hat on this game; much work remains.

Last comment. Card variety is extremely limited. I played for 48 hours and I rarely see a new card. I know this develops over time but as of now. The limit will also drive do the value of staying and playing.

Here's a list of 3* & 4* cards I've encountered so far with their base stats (first one is HP, second is Atk, just like in the game), on ascending order of strength. I've seen many others, of course, but I don't have their Lv. 1 stats, so I can't share them; some of them look pretty weak, others (like, say, Parker) look stronger than a lot of what you see here. So far, the safest bet seems to be to save your traps for anything from Frankensally (with a total base strength of 3,892 points) and above (from Crimson on, the're all above 4K in total strength):

Bear Man (585/856)
Polyphemus (600/870)
Voodoo (1030/863)
Sloth (920/1132)
Long De Nuhai (1054/1033)
Space Zombie (789/1334)
Skylark (779/1427)
Outtie (1416/790)
Dr. Dvorak (1050/1266)
Xiao Long (1497/821)
Rhazien (1162/1173)
Kasai Fujin (1077/1303)
Fire Demon (1059/1327))
Pride (1558/853)
Major Rager (1060/1367)
Tephra (1583/861)
Greed (1208/1245)
Kenny Tuckit (1130/1387)
Lithia (1174/1437)
Frank Burns (1359/1322)
She-Devil (1232/1552)
Lt. Ryker (1387/1431)
Motoko (1055/1819)
Molusco (1870/1029)
Zombie Torso (1447/1476)
Crush (1512/1424)
Firrattus (1416/1544)
Patient Zero (2228/1217)
Kasai Amanozako (1749/1735)
Mori Amanozako (1757/1736)
Mori Shinigami (1328/2213)
Yongyuan (1612/1936)
Frankensally (1908/1984)
Evil Twin (1971/1954)
Crimson (1450/2648)
Farcry (2834/1444)
Mallaboca (2516/1904)
Chef Vega (2904/1581)
Aurora (1624/2873)
Lust (1767/3119)

Happy hunting! :)

There also seems to be very little filtering when finding a new opponent. I'd say 4/5 of the time, I get a player who is twice as strong I am and there is simply no way I can defeat him so it's a waste. I wasted a whole energy bar yesterday and all my opponents were over 120k total strength while I'm at 45k.

I encountered an s4 Doddy as an opponent's boss with a turn counter of 1. Died in 3 orbs. Now the question is, does she always get that turn counter?
