Battle starter tips

Postby EmDeeNZ » Fri Jan 06, 2017 5:21 am

just a guide for the starters out there... there are 5 affinities, fire water earth light and dark.

Red= fire, attacks deal double damage to Earth enemies and half damage to Water enemies
Blue = Water, attacks deal double damage to Fire enemies and half damage to Earth enemies
Green = Earth, attacks deal double damage to Water enemies and half damage to Fire enemies
Yellow/Gold= Light, attacks deal double damage to Dark enemies and half damage to Light enemies
Purple = Dark, attacks deal double damage to Light enemies and half damage to Dark enemies

to increase your attack power, line up as many of the gems as you can and try to make them stack (as in one line removed causes more to form and fall) this increases the power/hit of the colour you cleared.

Hearts give u back health so when you are clearing the coloured gems try to stack some of these ready for when you need them, longer line gives back more health.

You can move horizontally, up and down left to right - create L T U or H shapes as well as lines

To target a specific enemy tap it and that will be the one you aim for - strategic - u can tap a charged card and a target and it fires off when it isnt your turn as well so u dont need to play another round to smite a boss just take it out with what you already powered up if u are close to end of battle

Dont always take the option it shows you - look around and choose something that will give you the most impact (ie lines) If you create five or more consecutive lines it creates a power gems - you can create higher level power gems by how many consecutive lines you drop and if two power gems of any color are next to each other, you can swap them to trigger a team up attack causing massive damage

The guide Em posted is pretty good, make sure you read through it. Here are some quick tips I've learned from my time playing.

- match more than one! This was a things people were missing alot when the game first started. You are not limited to moving just one gem.

- study the board. The timer doesn't start until you move a gem, so take a minute to plan your moves.

- power gems, the numbered gems, are area attacks and hit all the monsters

- swapping to power gems removes all of those colors, but don't forget to match to additional gems too

- "B" on a card means Bounty Hunter, they give bonus points during dungeon events

-"S" on a card means Slayer, they get bonus stats during Raid events

- "SB" on a card means they are both Slayer and Bounty Hunter

- the starter five cards, the ones on the opening screen, are permanent SB cards. Power up and Evolve them as soon as you can

- S and B cards from one event will be S and B on following events, but with reduced multiplier

- do not Awaken cards at less than full stars, you lose Awakens levels when Evolving.

That's some for now, will post again if I have more.

Two more I forgot...

- don't use Loot Tickets dungeon event, you don't get Bounty Hunter bonus when using loot tickets. Use loot tickets on campaign dungeons

- event coins expire when the event ends. You can't save them up. Spend them all!
